Creative Director of Alex Eagle Studio and THE STORE x SOHO HOUSE BERLIN, Alex Eagle welcomed us to Alex Eagle Studio on Lexington Street, where she was in conversation with her best friend Nura Mosley, Style Editor at British Vogue.
Alex joyfully shared tales of her years spent 'cutting her teeth' as a Fashion Assistant at Harper's Bazaar, what she learnt about retail from working at Joseph, opening her first store in a tiny townhouse on Walton Street, how the pieces she sells are so often tried and tested in her own home, how it all brought her to launching THE STORE in 2014, a vast 30,000 square feet expanse in Berlin and her beautiful Lexington Street store in 2016 that we were sitting in on the evening and juggling motherhood and a career now that she has her baby boy, Jack.
Members of Marguerite celebrated female vision and entrepreneurship at what is almost the year anniversary of Alex Eagle Studio on Lexington Street over Aperol Spritz's and Italian cheese and charcuterie boards.
The Alex Eagle Studio is a unique retail experience showcasing an edit of high-end fashion, accessories, art, design, homeware, beauty and photography from around the globe, in surroundings conceived to recreate the intimacy of a home. Alex Eagle opened the doors to 91 Walton Street in December 2014, a townhouse in the heart of London’s Knightsbridge. In April 2016 the studio moved to Lexington Street in Soho, an expansive, light-filled space that is a step away from the shop front model of the past towards a new type of retail experience. Alongside an eclectic edit of fashion, Alex Eagle own brand, art, furniture and unique curiosities, Lexington Street houses the Alex Eagle studio and showroom, and operates as an event and gallery space. The result is an invigorating creative hub, a new destination to hang out and be inspired.
